Station history
Republica opened on 28 December 1981 as the end of the second M1 section, Timpuri Noi – Republica, and remained the station until Pantelimon opened in 1991. It lies in an industrial area near the Faur works and Titan Sud railway station, and many M1 trains still terminate here.
