Station history

Berceni was called Depoul IMGB until 2009. It was the southern terminus of M2 from the line's opening in 1986 until 15 November 2023, when Tudor Arghezi station opened. Together with Tudor Arghezi it is one of the network's two above-ground stations. The Berceni depot, which maintains the M2 trains, is next to the station.
